Do you offer a free first session?

No. Instead, we have our 2 Week Unlimited Trial (https://www.trainmoment.com/trial), which is designed to assess your strength, movement, and goals so we can recommend the best membership path for you. Most people transition into a membership at the end, but we'll guide you either way.

What should I expect for my first session?

Plan to arrive 10–15 minutes early for your first session — you will not be able to take the session if you arrive less than 6 minutes before it starts. In your first session, you can expect a supportive training environment with a welcoming community and a Coach who will help you step out of your comfort zones safely. While we are a group fitness program, your Coach will provide personalized form and weight suggestions, similar to what you'd receive from a personal trainer. We prioritize controlled, quality movements over speed or high-volume sets.

I'm a beginner or just getting back into exercise. Can I still join a session?

Absolutely! We pride ourselves on fostering a supportive community of clients and Coaches. Everyone leaves their ego at the door. All sessions and exercises can be modified to suit your fitness level. For your first visit, we recommend self-paced days such as TM LIFT (Mondays and Wednesdays), Flex Fridays, Single-Sided Saturdays, or Sundays (TEMPO or LEVEL UP).

I have a limitation or injury. Can I still train at Train Moment?

Absolutely! We welcome clients with varying abilities and those with pre-existing injuries. Our focus on attention to detail, proper form, and personalized options, combined with our low-impact training style, ensures that a diverse range of individuals can train safely and effectively with us.

What are your scheduling and arrival policies?

Late Cancel/Reschedule Policy: Reservations canceled or rescheduled less than 8 hours before the session will incur a location-specific Late Cancel Fee. Members receive their first Late Cancel or Reschedule each Billing Cycle free. No Show Policy: Failing to attend your session or arriving more than 5 minutes past session start time will result in a No-Show Fee. First session arrival: You will not be able to take the session if you arrive less than 6 minutes before start time — no exceptions. Returning clients must arrive before session start time — no exceptions.

Why do I need to arrive early for my first session?

Arriving early lets you complete the liability waiver, discuss any injuries or goals with your Coach, and receive an overview of how sessions work. You'll also get a demonstration of the VersaClimber, a key piece of equipment that many new clients haven't used before.

How is your programming structured?

Train Moment focuses on full-body training each session, organized into 4-week blocks with 2 bi-weekly programs. The weekly schedule includes: TM LIFT Mondays and Wednesdays (Strength-Focused), Two-Minute Tuesdays (Conditioning-Focused), EMOM or AMRAP or Drop Set Thursdays (Conditioning or Strength/Conditioning), Flex Fridays or Friday FIFTIES, Single-Sided Saturdays, and Level Up or TEMPO Sundays.

What is a VersaClimber?

The VersaClimber is a zero-impact, full-body climbing machine used in our Conditioning Zone (also known as The Climber). It requires minimal skill but demands maximum effort, allowing you to train hard safely and efficiently. Learn more at https://www.trainmoment.com/the-workout.

Will I be charged after my 2-week trial ends?

No. The 2-week trial is a one-time, non-recurring charge. Once your trial concludes, you'll need to purchase a membership or package to continue training with us.

Do your locations have showers?

Yes, every Train Moment location features full-service locker rooms with showers. Amenities include shampoo, conditioner, body wash, blow dryers, lotion, deodorant, Q-tips, and laundry bags. Note: towel service is not available at the River North or South End locations.

Yes. Lincoln Park (Chicago): free rooftop parking in the ramp two doors south on Clybourn Ave. West Loop (Chicago): free street parking until 8 AM; paid parking on Desplaines, Randolph, and Lake. River North (Chicago): free street parking until 8 AM; paid parking on Superior, Wells, and Lasalle. Third Ward (Milwaukee): free street parking in front until 8 AM, plus nearby paid and free options. South End (Charlotte): free street parking until 7 AM and all day Sunday; The Line garage is $5 for the first 2 hours with validation.

Do your memberships require a commitment?

All monthly memberships auto-renew. In Chicago and Milwaukee, we offer no-commitment options or you can save 15% with an 8-Billing Cycle Commitment. Annual Prepaid Memberships do not auto-renew. How do I upgrade, downgrade, freeze, or cancel my membership?

You can manage your membership — including upgrading, downgrading, freezing, or canceling — by visiting https://www.trainmoment.com/membership-details or referring to your signed membership agreement in your account.

How many days per week can I train at Train Moment without overtraining?

If training exclusively at Train Moment, we recommend 4–5 sessions per week with at least one full rest day. Training seven days a week without proper recovery can hinder progress, as strength training requires recovery to be effective.

How does the waitlist work?

If a spot opens, clients are automatically added from the waitlist in order — up to 65 minutes before the session. At 65 minutes or less before start time, all waitlisted members receive an in-app notification and the spot goes to whoever confirms first. Make sure in-app notifications are enabled.
